ABOUT ME

WHERE I'VE BEEN

I am born and brought up in India. I've completed my Undergrad in Computer Science post which I have worked for 4.5years in Accenture Solutions Pvt. Ltd. It was a great experience! I had the opportunity to work and interact with clients in USA and Italy. My journey from a Software Associate to Senior Software Developer has helped me achieve a broader outlook towards probable solutions for every problem at hand, be it personal or professional. As cliche as this may sound but I have learnt that "Whatever the problem, be part of the solution"

WHAT I'M DOING

Currently, I'm pursuing my dream of getting a Masters Degree. I am a graduate student at Rochester Institute of Technology, NY. I'm lucky enough to have got the guidance of awesome faculty here who are guiding me to achieve my passion. I got the opportunity to work as a Graduate Assistant under the mentorship of Prof. Murukannaiah. I got the chance to do research in the area of NLP and Machine Learning and have co-authored a research paper with my mentor which is published in Requirements Engineering 2018 Conference(RE 2018) . Apart from this the course curriculum is great and I have worked on some really cool wed dev and data science projects. All in all, I am honing my skills, specializing in web dev and machine learning!

WHAT I HOPE TO DO

I want to be a great web developer and design some really cool UI's. I'm also keen on continuing my reserach in the area of machine learning. I believe everyday is a chance at improvement so my only plan is to get better personally & professionally! Everyday.

RESEARCH

WHAT I'VE DONE

My research experience is in the area of data science and analytics (using NLP and Machine Learning) under the guidance of Prof. Pradeep Murukannaih. I'm working as a graduate assistant for him. As part of my research I have contributed in the implementation of Active Learning (pipeline framework) in dataset for improving predictions when data is unlabeled, implementation of multiclass and binary classification on the data set, and implementing three different uncertainty sampling strategies – Least Confident Prediction, Smallest Margin and Highest Entrophy.I've also co-authored research paper - "App Review Analysis via Active Learning: Reducing Supervision Effort without Compromising Classification Accuracy" published in Requirements Engineering Conference 2018

WHAT I'M DOING

I am working currently in the area of privacy incidents to use NLP and Machine Learning for analyzing trends between privacy incidents. To create something like a database which can be used b other practioners. I'm currently working on the research questions which can be answered and learning more about different levels and types of privacy incidents
